beach babe
We went to the Hotel Del Cornado for lunch and some beach time when Steve's family was still in town. So much fun! Emerson has been to the beach in California before, but never has she had free reign to play in the sand and get her toesies wet. Oh my, she could not get enough. We had a delicious lunch overlooking the water at an outdoor cafe...a great day.
La Jolla
| I think we have a picture like this from La Jolla cove every year! |

LegoLand
LegoLand was so much fun! This is a great amusement park for younger kids! I cant wait to go back when Wyatt is a bit older so he can join in on some of the fun. Emerson was amazed by this place, she could not get enough. We were there for nearly 6 hours and she did not stop, ride in the stroller or take a break. We went strong and all day long with a quick break for lunch. She loved all the rides and never was afraid to try a thing. They had a few bigger rides that she was too small for....she was upset that she could not ride them! I love that she is a daredevil.
my favorite people
Before heading home from San Diego I wanted to get some pictures of the cutest kids and husband in the world! Ron and Kathy not only have a beautful home, but their yard is a perfect backdrop. Wyatt enjoyed sucking on an orange....that was until he bit a huge chunk out of it and got it stuck in his mouth! That boy has some BIG teeth. Emmy is not one to pose for the camera....so more photos of Wyatt here. Enjoy....

9 months old
Our little Wyatt is 9 MONTHS old! Wow, that went fast....and I have enjoyed every minute of him! He is such a calm baby and so, so happy. He can put a smile one anyone's face...really. Wyatt now has a full head of dark brown hair (thanks Daddy!), it is to the point where I can part it and make him look like a lil old man. He loves playing with his sister, they just have to be right next to each other....it is so cute. Emerson loves him (and loves to torment him)....but she is always asking for "my brother" to be on the floor playing with her.
At 9 months Wyatt is:
-18.7 pounds (skinny boy)
-29 inches
-will not stop crawling for a minute
-stands up in his crib and at the toy table
-kneels next to his toys...this is so stinkin cute, his bum is adorable!
-says "mama" and "dada" and "gagagaga"
-has 6 teeth (4 on top and 2 on bottom)
-does not like teething
-has gone through a lot of baby tylenol in the last month!
-still loves his stage 2 baby foods....not loving table food or stage 3 foods...he gags! uhhh
-drinks 4 bottles a day
-takes one afternoon nap a day (unless we are home in the morning which is rare...then the lucky duck gets 2 naps!)
-is still the LIGHTEST sleeper....I hope this does not last too long
-tilts his head to the side if we say "oh look at the sweet boy"
-blows rasberries just to hear himself
-really likes looking at all his baby books
-likes cartoons....just great!
-does not like to wear socks or shoes, pulls both off and likes to eat socks! not good in the winter....
-is 100% a mamas boy

friends...
This is Nathan....Wyatt's little buddy. These two cuties are just days apart just like their daddy's. Matt and Steve have been friends as long as they can remember, how cool that their boys are the same ages too! It is so fun to see your friends experiencing parenthood at the same time. Nathan is a cutie....look at all that hair. I think Wy is a bit jealous!!!!

The calm before the storm....
We had a wonderful day with the kids on Sunday! Started off with cinnamon rolls for breakfast....how could the day go wrong? Both Emmy and I (since having kids) have a sweet tooth and we both love our cinnamon rolls. Steve suggested we take the kids for a walk down to the lake in our neighborhood since it was such a beautiful day....perfect idea. There is a "local" bald eagle that migrates to little Bingham Lake every winter, Steve reminded me to bring the camera and I am sure glad I did. Emerson even brought her "Dora" telescope to look for birds. Wyatt enjoyed the ride and Emmy walked the lake loop (1 mile), though she accepted a stroller ride to and from home! We got a glimpse of the eagle, we then extended our walk to take the monkeys to the park....delightful. Emerson has always loved the park, but it is even more fun when daddy is there too. Wyatt enjoyed the swing for his first time too. Great day!
Oh....and the storm started here on Monday! Schools were closed Tuesday and Wednesday.....below 0 temps. Brrrrr
