33

We celebrated my 33rd birthday and Father's Day this past weekend!  33 is looking pretty darn good especially with these two cuties at my side.  I am a pretty lucky lady, wifey and mama!  We celebrated my birthday this year by going out to dinner to Hacienda Colorado for dinner with the family....yum!  Fathers Day was spent relaxing at my parents pool....sorry no pictures to show!  Steve had a wonderful day with us....he is super dad to our kids and we could not love him more!

just a house...

And I wish it were mine!  Steve took my camera to work this past week and snapped some shots of one of his jobs.  Everything about this home is amazing....including the landscaping.  Steve is lucky to meet some really neat people as clients, and obviously he gets to see some pretty cool homes!

Castlewood Custom Landscape and Design

Steve opened the doors of Castlewood in January 2007....and he has worked like CRAZY to build this once small landscape design and build company to what it is today.  What is it today?  Today Steve and his partner Jason have 25+ employees, of that only 4 are in house staff...Steve, Jason, Nick (the other designer) and a secretary!  That means the rest of those guys are in the field...he is running 5 crews this summer, again so amazing!  They have a fleet of trucks, dumps, skids, trailers....you name it, and even  if you cant I am sure they have something like it!  This past February Steve and Jason took another step forward....bought the building they were renting.  They are located in southern Littleton (think Sedalia), a perfect location right on highway 85....lots of traffic.  The building is a 1920's bungalow that was converted to a commercial property years ago.  Upon closing the guys gutted the interior of the building, creating a entry/secretarial area, conference room, storage room, plan room and the office that Steve, Jason and Nick share.  They also painted and landscaped the outside.  The landscaping outside still has some work to be done, but really....that is the easy part!  The best thing about this property....is the property!  They have a 1.5acre yard to house all of their supplies and trucks.  Speaking of supplies, Castlewood opened another division this spring....Castlewood Landscape Supply (duh!).  They now sell landscaping supplies out of their yard....rock, mulch, boulders etc.  Anything you would need that is not living :), they deliver or you can pick it up.  I am so proud of Steve and the business man he has become....not only is the the most talented Landscape Designer, but he has proven to be an even better entrepreneur!

love you babe!!!

So....check out the before and after pictures of Castlewood!

Summer...finally!

I think we can finally say (now that it is June!) that it is summer here!  We got Wy a water table for his birthday....both he and Emmy love it!  We spend most of our evenings now outside playing on the playset....and you guessed it....playing with water!  Wyatt got a fishing pole and magnetic fish for his birthday, so we added them to the water and Emerson goes fishing daily now!

Wyatt at one

Some things about Wy-Wy at one years old:

-We call him "mini", he is just such a little dude....but all boy that is for sure!
-Is 20.8lbs and 30 1/2 inches long....see why we call him mini?  Such a string bean, but a tall one!
-He likes to hold his own bottle now, because you know he is a big boy!
-He loves to communicate with us in baby language.  All sounds, but he changes his tone and elevates his voice and all.  It is too funny!
-Loves his baby food, we are slowly getting to table food, but the solid food thing is not his favorite.
-He loves Ritz crackers
-He can waive "hi" and "bye" like nobody's business
-Is a pro at "so big"
-If you ask for kisses, he bends his face into yours...usually a head-butt
-If you even mention "pat-a-cake" he claps his hands like crazy
-Is such a snuggler!
-Says mama, dada and baba
-He is cruising around furniture
-He is a speed crawler on all 4's...so fast that sometimes he will put his head down to go even quicker...which means lots of collisions hitting the wall with his head.  This does not phase him one bit....total boy!
-Bear crawls with his toosh in the air
-He has the most beautiful, dark hazel eyes!  His right eye is also 1/4 brown...so cool!
-He sleeps for 12 hours a night....goes to bed around 730pm
-He has 7 teeth, 4 on top and 3 on bottom...a little lop-sided!
-Can walk behind his "walker" toys now and loves it!

Happy 1st Birthday to Wyatt

Wyatt is ONE!  We celebrated his first birthday here at our home with our closest friends and family...it was perfect!  His birthday fell on Memorial Day this year which was so fun!  We had a great BBQ with hot dogs and brats, all the fixins, and yummy cupcakes!  It was a beautiful day in Colorado so the party was on our front deck and the kiddies were able to play in the yard and on the playset.  Wyatt was spoiled big time....it was so wonderful to see everyone here for our little guy.  He is so, so loved!
