Wyatt's christening

We baptized Wyatt on August 21st at Ave Maria Catholic Church...Deacon Tim did such a wonderful baptism ceremony! Our immediate families and a few close friends were present. My brother, Adam and a close friend of ours, Andrea are Wyatt's godparents. Wyatt is wearing Adam's baptism outfit that was given to him by my Grandma Vassau, so special that Wyatt was able to wear this too since Adam is his godfather.

You can see below that Emerson is really not present in any of the pictures....she will not sit still for the camera....such a 2 year old! Wyatt is a lucky little guy, we had a beautiful day for his baptism and he has amazing god-parents that love him to pieces.

the party...

We had a nice open house party following Wyatt's christening. It was a beautiful day so we were able to host the party on our front deck and the kiddies were able to play outside. We had a nice spread of food and of course a cake! It was a great time to visit with family and close friends. My grandma flew in for the baptism from Chicago, it was great to see her and to have her meet her 1st great grandSON.

this face...

Priceless! This is Emerson's latest face...where does she come up with these? She gets so excited about anything....and we get this expression. Love this girl of mine!

Estes Park

We went to visit Steve's parents in Estes Park a few weekends back....what a blast! It was our first weekend away as a family since Wyatt arrived and we all needed it! I was a bit worried about how Emerson would sleep at Grandma's since Wyatt would be using the pack n play. She slept in a spare bedroom in a queen bed all by herself! My little girl is growing up way too fast! Since we were up there we took Emmy to town for a few hours while Grandma Karen and Papa George watched Wyatt. We took her to the infamous slides, she LOVED it! We went down 3 times and she could have gone 3 more. Next we took Emmy to get some ice cream....what a treat! Then we headed up the tram, being from Estes Steve had never been on it....it was fun, but we probably wont do it again. We really enjoyed the time with Emerson, since time with just her is few and far between with the little Wy buddy.

Sunday morning before heading out we were able to enjoy a nice walk around Sprague Lake in the park. It was stroller friendly so Wyatt got some fresh air too. Steve and Emmy "raced" around a good portion of the lake....she loved saying "ready, set, GO!".....though by "go" she was already off running.

the little guy

This little guy is all smiles lately. It is so fun to watch Wyatt discover his world daily....he is changing so much. We go to the doc next week for his 2 month appt so I will post stats then, but today he is weighing in at 13 pounds (he is 10wks old). Wyatt loves to eat, sleep, smile and coo at us. I love his gummy smile and the way he looks at me....babies are so wonderful!

Bathtime at the Buser's

I will say bathing two kiddies is a lot more work than just one! Steve and I bathe at the same time....Wyatt is in the baby bath tub on the counter and Emmy is a fish in the tub. I usually bathe Wyatt and Steve gets Emerson clean...in all its craziness, it works well. Once these little munchkins are cleaned up, we usually head into Wyatt's room to get diapered. Though Emmy always makes a dart from the tub to the rocking horse....nothing like a naked cowgirl! We read the kids books together and Steve plays with Emmy while I feed Wyatt. I do love putting my kids to bed nice and clean after a day in the sun!

The bedrooms...

I had so much fun decorating the kids bedrooms! Well, if you know me at all....I love to just decorate...anything! I will say Emerson's was the most fun since she got new "big girl" furniture, bedding and drapes! Her room was already green, so I was thrilled to incorporate pink into it....such a great color combo. I started collecting things for her new room back in December and I think it all came together perfectly! I got all of the bedding, drapes and nick- knacks on sale...score! I am not one for having everything match, so I pieced her room together over time and it came together better than I hoped. We moved her out of the crib and into her big girl bed in June....just when Wyatt got his new (hand-me-down) crib.

Wyatt's room is equally as cute, just more boy! He has all of Emerson's old furniture and crib bedding. I bought him some boy-ish pictures, name sign and lamp....I just love it. Thankfully when I was pregnant with Emmy I bought gender neutral crib bedding, it is nice to see it is getting more use with little Wyatt. Wyatt has been sleeping in his room since he was 5weeks old. This was sooner that Emerson (10weeks), but it has worked out so well. We all sleep better in our own rooms...right?
