California dreamin'

We packed the kids up and flew west for some much needed California sunshine!  We love going to San Diego to see Steve's dad and Kathy there is something special about family, palm trees and the ocean....esp this time of year!  This was Wyatt's first time to California too (well, he "went" last year....in my tummy!).  We had an extra treat this year too!  Grandma Wylene, Uncle Doug and Aunt Jo and Aunt Cindy all came down from the Bay Area to visit with us too!  Emmy loved seeing all the family and entertained them to no end.  She thought Papa Ron's yard was the best adventure ever (it is breathtaking).  She loved wandering around, picking oranges right of the trees and swinging on the tree swing grandpa has.  What a great vacation!

We went to the Hotel Del Cornado for lunch and some beach time when Steve's family was still in town.  So much fun!  Emerson has been to the beach in California before, but never has she had free reign to play in the sand and get her toesies wet.  Oh my, she could not get enough.  We had a delicious lunch overlooking the water at an outdoor cafe...a great day.

La Jolla

I think we have a picture like this from La Jolla cove every year!

The mister is always so happy in his stroller

Steve and Emmy out on the break wall looking at the seals
We took a drive to La Jolla as a day trip...such a beautiful town.  We usually park right near the beach and walk the walkway up and down the cove to see the seals.  This year was no different....Emmy enjoyed watching the seals.  Steve is  lucky as his grandparents had a home in La Jolla during his childhood and recently sold it....so he has many fond memories of this great town, their beautfiul home and his grandpa's amazing yard.

LegoLand

LegoLand was so much fun!  This is a great amusement park for younger kids!  I cant wait to go back when Wyatt is a bit older so he can join in on some of the fun.  Emerson was amazed by this place, she could not get enough.  We were there for nearly 6 hours and she did not stop, ride in the stroller or take a break.  We went strong and all day long with a quick break for lunch.  She loved all the rides and never was afraid to try a thing.  They had a few bigger rides that she was too small for....she was upset that she could not ride them!  I love that she is a daredevil.

my favorite people

Before heading home from San Diego I wanted to get some pictures of the cutest kids and husband in the world!  Ron and Kathy not only have a beautful home, but their yard is a perfect backdrop.  Wyatt enjoyed sucking on an orange....that was until he bit a huge chunk out of it and got it stuck in his mouth!  That boy has some BIG teeth.  Emmy is not one to pose for the camera....so more photos of Wyatt here.  Enjoy....

9 months old

Our little Wyatt is 9 MONTHS old!  Wow, that went fast....and I have enjoyed every minute of him! He is such a calm baby and so, so happy.  He can put a smile one anyone's face...really.  Wyatt now has a full head of dark brown hair (thanks Daddy!), it is to the point where I can part it and make him look like a lil old man. He loves playing with his sister, they just have to be right next to each other....it is so cute.  Emerson loves him (and loves to torment him)....but she is always asking for "my brother" to be on the floor playing with her.

At 9 months Wyatt is:
-18.7 pounds (skinny boy)
-29 inches
-will not stop crawling for a minute
-stands up in his crib and at the toy table
-kneels next to his toys...this is so stinkin cute, his bum is adorable!
-says "mama" and "dada" and "gagagaga"
-has 6 teeth (4 on top and 2 on bottom)
-does not like teething
-has gone through a lot of baby tylenol in the last month!
-still loves his stage 2 baby foods....not loving table food or stage 3 foods...he gags! uhhh
-drinks 4 bottles a day
-takes one afternoon nap a day (unless we are home in the morning which is rare...then the lucky duck gets 2 naps!)
-is still the LIGHTEST sleeper....I hope this does not last too long
-tilts his head to the side if we say "oh look at the sweet boy"
-blows rasberries just to hear himself
-really likes looking at all his baby books
-likes cartoons....just great!
-does not like to wear socks or shoes, pulls both off and likes to eat socks!  not good in the winter....
-is 100% a mamas boy
