Soccer

We signed Emerson up for soccer this fall....she had her first practice/game last Saturday.  I am not sure if she loves it, but she sure liked running around with the other kids and her best friend Kelly.  She does not quite get the concept of scoring goals, but she can sure run and follow the kids from offense to defense.  I am exciting for this season and to watch Emerson progress!  Steve and I just get a kick out of watching her....she is just such a princess.  She asked to put her soccer "tights" on...haha.  As soon as we got home from the game she ran to her room and changed to a dress!

San Diego...part 3

While in San Diego we also took the kids to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo!  Ron and Kathy kept us busy, but we would not want it any other way!  As I mentioned they have an awesome yard, so most evenings we played outside before dinner and conking out for the night.  The tether ball reached the top of Wyatt's head....perfect height for him to get bonked more than enough times!!!

Wyatt's laughs are contagious!

San Diego...part 2

Emerson has been asking to go to the beach, so Steve and I thought what better place than San Diego.  We usually make our trip out there in the spring time, but this year we decided on a summer trip so we could take the kids to the beach.  Ron chose La Jolla shores beach....no complaints here!  The kids had a blast, I don't think Emmy was ever out of the ocean and Wyatt was never in the ocean!  Emerson is such a water girl, loves everything about it and had no fear of the ocean or waves.  Now, my little Wyatt is an overly cautious kid, so he was not so keen on getting more than his toesies wet!  He loved playing in the sand though.  We sure do love California!

San Diego...part 1

We make a yearly trip down to San Diego to visit Steve's dad and stepmom...and this trip did not disappoint!  The kids love everything about going to Cali...and that starts with riding on the airplane!  Our kids have always done pretty well on flights, but this time Wyatt actually "got" that he was on a plane and thought it was so.much.fun.!  Below are pictures from our first day down there playing in Papa Ron's yard...it is so amazing and so much fun for the kiddies!

Wyatt's showing me his rock....he is such a boy.

White Fence Farm

I love this restaurant! It was so fun to take our kids there....they loved the playground, petting zoo and old fashioned candy shop.  We used to go to this place when I was a kid in CO and IL....cant beat their fried chicken either.  We were lucky enough to have my grandma here this summer, so we all went for dinner...what a blast.

4 generations!

Emerson's new set of wheels

Thats right, Emmy got her first two wheel bike.  She has never been too interested in tricycles or bikes in general, so this is big.  We got her a balance bike for her 4th birthday, she was a bit too tall for it and never would ride it.  So, we were out to lunch with Nana and Papa one Sunday afternoon and I asked her if she would like to go look at a big girl bike, she got a big smile on her face and off to Wal-Mart we went.  We agreed on this adorable bike (she wanted one that was decked out in princess everything...no thanks!)  She has been riding in our driveway and is doing quite well, we need to take it to the park soon so she can have more space to ride.  I am glad we went ahead and bought this for her this summer rather than in April for her birthday....she needs practice!  I don't think she could be any cuter on the bike, and Wyatt....well he is such a helper, giving her pushes while mommy sits and watches.  So cute!

This cracks me up!

Wyatt is so proud of sissy!
