Emerson's 4th birthday and Easter

Emmy's birthday was on Easter this year, so cool!  The kids had a great day that started off bright and early with easter baskets and church.  We made it almost all the way through mass without having to remove Wyatt from the church....baby steps.  Steve and I had our families over for an afternoon brunch to celebrate Emmy's birthday and Easter.  The weather was perfect and we all had a nice and relaxing day.  The kids loved playing on the new bike in the yard and the boys enjoyed a game of horse shoes.  We got Emmy a new bike for her birthday, its called a balance bike.  I have heard great things about them from friends and research....we will see if it pays off.  Em is liking the fact that she now has a real bike, but has yet to master the balance factor.  Her day ended by blowing out candles on the traditional Easter lamb cake.  She was thrilled.

Happy Birthday baby girl!  Love you to the moon and back.....more than all the stars in the sky.

Easter egg hunt

We were invited to an Easter egg hunt at a preschool friends house....they invited the whole class.  Emmy had a blast with her friends, and Wyatt enjoyed himself too.  As you can see from Emmy's basket, she was not deprived of and eggs!  What a blast and perfect way to spend a beautiful Saturday afternoon.  Later that day Emmy and I dyed eggs while Wyatt snoozed.....

a birthday party for our FOUR year old princess!

I can't believe Emerson is 4 years old, how did that happen?  We had a wonderful birthday party for her this year!!!  I decided since her bday fell on Easter Sunday this year that I did not want a party at our house and host Easter all in the same weekend.  So, we had her party at Lollipop Park...and indoor amusement park for little kids.  She was in heaven!  All of her friends were there to celebrate with her, the day could not have been more perfect for a 4 year old.  We even went to Red Robin for dinner following the party with my parents and some friends....18 of us to be exact!  And 8 of them were kiddies under the age of 5.....we were a site!
